Mobile Bore Repair
This picture is bore welding a large Crusher Tongue, the bores are approximately 450mm diameter and due to the awkward shape of the part, it was far more cost effective to reclaim using Brisbane Line Boring offering the latest automatic bore welding machinery and Lineboring Equipment, rather than freight the component to an existing machine shop.
This customer has a fully equipped machine shop, though finds it more economical to use brisbane lineboring with our mobile line boring equipment rather than his traditional boring machines.
The job shown here is reclaiming a steering cylinder mounting points from a Caterpillar Earthmover.

This Gas check valve had worn areas where the threaded seats are positioned.
The challenge was to make a new thread in an inaccessible area that was without any imperfections such as porosity or weld faults. You can see in the picture the welded area was quality, the bore had to be built up approximately 15mm

This repair was inaccessable to hand weld though with the most up to date bore welding equipment, and know how from brisbane line boring the repair was able to be completed quickly and efficiently.
